Michael Vincent Manalo (b.1986, Philippines) - Chronicles from the Great Reveries

Michael Vincent Manalo grew up surrounded by art and performances. Since his childhood days, he was fascinated by drawing and painting and also developed a great liking to the guitar and the keyboard. His passion with photography started when he was 22 and in a short time, he taught himself to create photo-manipulations and montages and this quickly grew into a true passion and eventually, a way of living. His works are inspired by imagined memories of nostalgic and dream-like environments and their decline into post-apocalyptic and nightmarish creations. Chronicles from the Great Reveries is a collection of dreams and daydreams that have been forged to be included in the arsenal of memory, to be part of the soul of nostalgia and finally, to be within the heart of the soul.
